The internship forms an important component of education at Faculty of Social Sciences. It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and academic institutions. Internship is a vehicle for introducing students to real-life situation. Faulty of Social Sciences has a very clearly defined and structured institutionalized process of internship to link up the real life situations with that of the academic learning. During the internships the students are encouraged to take up assignments, which are multi-disciplinary, goal-oriented, time bound and involves teamwork. It helps the students to apply the concepts learnt in the classroom to real life situations.

Students of two year MA Financial Economics Program undertake the internship program at the end of second semester. The summer internship project will span across 14 week, where students are expected to work under the supervision of organization and faculty guides on some specific issues of the concerned organization. While placing the student for the SIP internship, students specialization interest will be kept in mind. This internship project will help the student get exposed into the practical real world corporate environment.
