MA
(Financial Economics) Program
Program
Structure
The program will span across four semesters covering 2 years. The program is
comprised of 20 courses, of which 14 are core courses, 4 are electives, an
industry internship project and one Thesis. Two areas of specialization, i.e.,
"Finance" and "Banking" are offered. The students are also allowed to opt for a
dual specialization. There is also an emphasis on independent research.
Students are required to do term papers in most of the courses and each student
undertakes a significant research project (Thesis) during the third and fourth
semester. Students are required to take up a summer internship project at the
end of the first year, which helps them to get an orientation in applied
economics.
