M.Tech Manufacturing Systems

ICFAI Tech School (Faculty of Science & Technology), IFHE Hyderabad off ers M.Tech - Manufacturing Systems Engineering on two year (full-time) and three year (part-time) modes. The program provides advanced building blocks for conceptualizing, understanding manufacturing systems integrated with computer based applicati ons. These include core courses: Unifi ed Approach to Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Economy, Computer-based Simulati on Methods & Applicati ons, Opti mizati on Methods & their Applicati ons, Quality & Reliability Engineering, Faciliti es Planning & Material Handling. Besides these there are a number of relevant electi ves to choose from. Further, the curriculum includes project work, which helps students understand the concepts and methods and apply to real life situati ons. The program enables the students to be technically competent to take-up challenging jobs in industries, government and R & D organizations. The program provides a sound platf orm for undertaking higher studies such as doctoral research in any top ranked university across the globe.

Eligibility
Pass with minimum 60% or equivalent in Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Producti on Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Mechatronics.

Program Structure (Part-time)

The program combines theory with the application of professional knowledge, skills and competencies. These skills include lean manufacturing, quality tools and techniques applications, advanced manufacturing systems, materials and operation of a range of manufacturing processes. GATE / ICFAI Master’s Entrance Exam (IMEE 2017) Qualified candidates are eligible.
Candidates who have Qualified in GATE (2015 onwards) need not write the ICFAI Master’s Entrance Exam 2017. They can directly appear for Interview.

IMEE 2017:
ICFAI Master’s Entrance Examination (IMEE 2017) is an aptitude test conducted by ITS, IFHE, for students seeking admission into the PG Programs of ICFAI Tech School. The test is of one hour duration. The question paper consists of 50 multiple choice questions with duration of 60 minutes.

Syllabus as per GATE - Mechanical Engg.

Personal Interview
Candidates based on the performance in GATE (from 2015 onwards) / IMEE 2017 will be called for Personal Interview at ICFAI Tech School, IFHE, Hyderabad on July 21 & 22, 2017.
The question paper will be divided into two parts of 100 marks each.

Part-A is common to all subjects. There will be one precise writing followed by MCQs in Basic Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Awareness in Computers.

Part-B contains MCQs in the subject studied at the Masters level.
