PRACTICE GDPI 2025

The Alumni Relations Cell, in collaboration with the management, organised the Practice Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) process for the final year MBA students on 2nd, 3rd, 23rd, and 24th of August. Under the guidance of experienced Alumni and Industry experts, these sessions gave students real-time exposure, feedback, and insights to prepare for upcoming placements. The event began with a briefing by Director Dr. K.S. Venu Gopal Rao and Dean Dr. D. Satish, which provided the event's objective and events criteria. The process began with a Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview. It was conducted in three batches for final year students across all four domains. Throughout the event, alumni, industry experts, and faculty members engaged with students, and these interactions enhanced students' understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement. With the participation of over 1,200 students and the support of more than 50 alumni, experts, and faculty, the event emerged as a truly impactful and enriching experience. The event concluded with alumni and industry experts sharing their valuable feedback about the GDPI process. The event fostered a strong sense of community while providing students with valuable opportunities to engage with potential mentors and expand their professional networks. It ultimately served as an important step in equipping final-year students for successful careers in their chosen fields.

IBSAF Best SIP Awards - 2025

The Alumni Relations Cell organised the IBS Alumni Federation Awards held on 5th September 2025 to recognize second-year students for their outstanding performance in the Summer Internship Program. The event was graced by esteemed alumni Mr. Sandeep Mishra, Mr. Sumit Tulsyan, and Mr. Hari Anamaraju as the chief guests. It served as an opportunity to inspire and encourage students for their future endeavors. Dr. Anitha Acharya, faculty mentor, coordinated the event, which began with a welcome speech to address the audience, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Distinguished dignitaries from the institution, including Vice Chancellor Prof. T Koti Reddy, Registrar Prof. S. Vijayalaxmi, Director Prof. K. S. Venugopal Rao, and Academic Dean Prof. Satish D, embraced the event with a few words of wisdom. The highlight of the evening was the distribution of IBSAF Awards, where 25 students and their respective faculty mentors were recognized for their exceptional performance in the Summer Internship Programme across the domains of Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Operations. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the Alumni Relations Cell, in collaboration with Club Samavesh, presented a graceful dance performance, which was followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks. The Alumni interacted with the audience and shared some insights about their MBA journey at IBS. The event concluded on a happy note, leaving behind cherished memories. RENDEZVOUS 2024

Rendezvous, the Annual Corporate Dinner was held on October 26, 2024, at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, in coordination with the management of IBS Hyderabad. This event aimed to celebrate the journey of alumni, foster connections, and exchange ideas among the IBS community. The event commenced at 6:30 pm with a lamp-lighting ceremony, led by the Registrar- IFHE Dr. S Vijaya Lakshami, Director- Dr. K.S Vennugopal Rao, Mentor of the Alumni Relations Cell- Dr. Anitha Acharya, esteemed faculty Members and Ms. Khyati Shandilya, President of the Alumni Relations Cell. This encouraged the atmosphere for Alumni and guests to reunite and engage with peers and faculty members. The ARC team set an enthusiastic tone for the event, with interactive games like ‘Guess the song’ and ‘tongue twisters’ to keep the 180 Alumni and their families along with 24 faculty members entertained and involved. The event featured a mesmerizing classical dance performance by Team Rock and Roll, the dance club of BBA students from IBS Hyderabad followed by Dr. S Vijaya Laksmi, the Registrar, who addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of education and leadership. Dr. K.S Venugopal Rao, Director, highlighted the institute's commitment to fostering talent. Dr. Anitha Acharya, the mentor of the Alumni Relations Cell, shared her insights and encouraged the audience. Khyati Shandilya, the President of the Alumni Relations Cell, delivered a welcome speech. The event continued with an interactive game of corporate bingo designed to engage the audience and provide an opportunity for attendees to network, socialize, and win exciting prizes. The event’s highlight was the launch of the bi-annual magazine “Connections” with the main theme ‘Scope’ and the sub-theme ‘E-Nomad’ for the alumni community. It focuses on the rise of freelancers and the gig economy and exploring the possibilities of location independence. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the alumni, IBS Hyderabad management, and Taj Deccan management for their contributions to the event's success.
