International Women's Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm under the aegis of the Centre for Women Development (CWD) at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), with meaningful participation from faculty, staff, students, and invited guests. The event reflected the spirit of women's empowerment, leadership, and social service.

The Chairperson of the ICFAI Society, Mrs. N. Shobha Rani Yashaswi, attended the event as the Chief Guest and graced the occasion. Her leadership continues to inspire commitment towards social responsibility and academic excellence within the institution.

The event was presided over by Dr. S. Vijayalakshmi, Registrar of IFHE and Convener of the Centre for Women Development (CWD). Distinguished guests included Dr. Jyoti R. Pidikiti, Managing Committee Member of ALEAP and Vice Chairperson of WEITTC, and Mrs. Kalpana Ramesh, a renowned water conservation expert and a pioneer in rainwater harvesting. They shared their inspiring experiences and emphasized the importance of women's leadership, sustainable development, and responsibility towards society.

A special highlight of the inaugural session was the participation of students from nearby Zilla Parishad High Schools (government schools), who were invited to the event. They created an inspiring atmosphere by sharing their aspirations and future career goals. Students of the Centre for Women Development had earlier conducted outreach programs in nearby villages focusing on personality development and motivating government school students. Those students attended the celebration, and faculty and staff appreciated them for the positive impact gained through the outreach initiatives.

On this occasion, senior women employees who have served the university for a long time were honoured in recognition of their distinguished service and valuable contributions to the institution.

The Centre for Women Development at IFHE organized a heartwarming and vibrant potluck gathering on 11th February 2026, exclusively for the female faculty and staff of the university. The event was thoughtfully curated to foster unity, mutual support, and a deeper sense of belonging among women professionals across various schools and administrative departments of IFHE.

The venue came alive with warmth and enthusiasm as participants arrived carrying an array of homemade delicacies that reflected the rich cultural diversity within the institution. The act of sharing food created an atmosphere of openness and allowing colleagues to connect beyond their professional roles.

A special highlight of the event was the gracious presence of Smt. Mrs. Shobarani, Chairperson of IFHE, who inaugurated the gathering in a unique and inspiring manner—by personally preparing a dish at the venue. In her address, she spoke passionately about the strength that emerges when women stand united within an institution. She emphasized the importance of collaboration, emotional support, and shared growth in building a resilient academic community.

Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi , Registrar IFHE reminisced about the early days of IFHE, sharing anecdotes about the inception and growth of the organization. Her reflections served as both inspiration and reminder of the collective efforts that have shaped the institution into what it is today.
