Dr. A. Vinay Kumar

Dr. A. Vinay Kumar brings a wealth of experience spanning decades of academic leadership, higher education governance, and strategic institutional development. A finance scholar, Dr. Vinay Kumar’s career spans long-term tenures at premier institutions, including over two decades as Professor of Finance at IIM Lucknow, Director at NMIMS University (Bengaluru), Director at GITAM School of Business (Hyderabad) and Pro Vice Chancellor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Chennai).

Dr. Vinay Kumar is credited with designing and delivering executive development programs in collaboration with international institutions including Cambridge University, Oxford University, London School of Economics (LSE), Erasmus University, Melbourne University, and NUS Singapore. He has led specialized leadership and finance programs for major public and private enterprises, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), State Bank of India (SBI), GAIL, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and Senior Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Officers. Dr. Kumar’s professional engagements, and academic assignments span multiple countries including the USA, UK, Canada, France, Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Hong Kong, Cyprus, and Ghana.

He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including Vikalpa, Journal of Prediction Markets, IIMB Management Review, Journal of Emerging Market Finance, and The Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance.

A Ph.D. in Business Management (Finance) from Osmania University, Hyderabad; Dr. Vinay Kumar is trained in case teaching from the Harvard Business School, USA and in data mining from the SAS Institute, USA.
