Vertex Case Competition 2026, organized by the BBA Placement Cell on 12–13 March 2026. The competition brought together students from IFHE to work on complex business strategy cases through rigorous analysis, structured presentations, and live Q&A rounds.
Competition Structure
Round 1 (12 March): We analyzed Swiggy’s diversification strategy, examining its revenue and loss profile across food delivery, quick commerce, and new verticals such as Pyng, Swiggy Sports, and Scenes. We submitted an 8‑slide deck recommending portfolio rationalization and capital allocation changes. Our team was shortlisted among the top four for the final round.
Round 2 (13 March): We developed a growth and monetization strategy for Establish (Starbuzz.AI + Hey!Creators), a dual B2B SaaS and B2C creator marketplace. We proposed a phased expansion plan supported by network effects analysis, operational cost breakdown, and a tiered hybrid revenue model, which we presented in the finals followed by a judge Q&A.
Our Approach
We used strategic frameworks such as Porter’s Five Forces, Network Effects, and Unit Economics to design solutions that were both financially rigorous and operationally practical. Our work combined quantitative analysis, clear structuring, and concise communication, especially during judge questioning.
Impact
This achievement reflects the strong analytical training, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving culture at ISoSS. It reinforces our institution’s reputation for producing industry‑ready graduates and gives our team valuable exposure for future internships and placements. We are proud to have represented ISoSS and are grateful for the academic guidance and institutional support provided by IFHE.
