InsightCon 2025, the inaugural flagship event organized by the YES Club, held over three dynamic days from November 12th to 14th, 2025, at IFHE, Hyderabd.
Introduction
InsightCon 2025 marked a pioneering initiative that brought together students for a vibrant celebration of diverse talents, intellectual competition, and creative expression. With a broad array of academic competitions, artistic performances, and interactive activities, this multi-mode event fostered a dynamic campus culture and provided memorable experiences for all participants. Multiple high-stakes competitions offered substantial cash prizes, ensuring energetic participation from both undergraduate and postgraduate student communities.
Event Overview:
Day 1 - November 12, 2025: Flash Mob at Dome Area, IBS
To launch InsightCon, a lively and inclusive flash mob performance set the tone for the festival, captivating attendees and igniting enthusiasm for the days to follow.
Day 2 - November 13, 2025: Guest Lectures, Competitions, and Awareness (Big Conference Hall & CR-9, IBS)
- Guest Lecture 1: “Cultivating Daily Resilience: Psychosocial Practices for Holistic Well-Being” by Dr. Srikanth Pallerla. The session provided practical strategies to enhance psychological well-being and resilience.
- Guest Lecture 2: “Cyber Security” by Dr. Ramesh Kanneganti. This interactive session offered vital insights into digital safety and privacy.
Competitions:
- Mock Budget (CR-9): Teams developed financial plans for hypothetical scenarios. Prizes: ₹5,000 (1st), ₹3,000 (2nd), ₹1,000 (3rd).
- The Chase - Social Science Edition (CR-9): Participants competed in a social science quiz. Prizes: ₹3,000 (1st), ₹2,000 (2nd), ₹1,000 (3rd).
- Poster Making - Mental Health Awareness (Online): Students created impactful posters. Prizes: ₹1,500 (1st), ₹950 (2nd), ₹750 (3rd).
All competitions drew enthusiastic participation and were judged by expert panels for originality and impact.
Day 3 - November 14, 2025: Culture and Celebration (3rd Circle & Courtyard, IBS)
- Fun Events (3rd Circle): Engaging activities promoted camaraderie among students.
- Live Music Performance (IBS Courtyard): The Kammani Band delivered a vibrant finale, attracting a large audience and concluding the festival on a high note.
Conclusion:
InsightCon 2025 concluded with positive energy, setting a new benchmark for club-led initiatives at IBS. The fusion of competitive spirit, teamwork, and cultural celebration reinforced the values of the YES Club and the broader campus community. By inspiring student engagement, rewarding talent, and raising mental health awareness, InsightCon exemplified the transformative power of collaboration and innovation. Introduction
On 31st October 2025, the ICFAI School of Social Sciences (ISoSS) celebrated Ethnic Day with a vibrant event titled “Jumme Ki Shaam.” Themed “Fake Sangeet,” the celebration recreated the lively spirit of Indian wedding festivities, promoting cultural appreciation, creativity, and unity among students. The event was held in the Seminar Hall from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Attached is the Event Report of the same.
Event Highlights:
- Opening Remarks: Anchors Ahmed and Sahiti opened the event with warmth and humor, engaging the audience and setting an energetic tone.
- Dance Performances: Group and solo performances by Navya & team, Ramashritha, Sheetal, Riddhi, Santoshi, Sreevani, and Aman showcased a blend of traditional and modern styles.
- Hookstep Challenge: An interactive Bollywood dance game that brought laughter and active participation from the audience.
- Band Performance & Jam Session: Vishnu, Nidhi, Rahul, Benita, Geet, Shruthi, and Aryan impressed with live music, followed by a collaborative jam session.
- Open DJ: The celebration concluded with an open dance floor, where students joyfully danced to upbeat tracks, capturing the festive sangeet vibe.
Conclusion:
“Jumme Ki Shaam” reflected the cultural vibrancy and unity that define ISoSS. The event’s blend of music, dance, and fun activities strengthened student bonds and made Ethnic Day 2025 a truly memorable celebration.
Introduction
On 23rd September 2025, ISoSS organized its official freshers event, Retro Rewind, for the first year students of BA Economics, BSc Economics, BSc Psychology, BCom and MSc Economics, in the Seminar Hall. The program aimed to foster connection among the student community and introduce the newest batch to the vibrancy of ISoSS life. The event featured dignitary speeches, cultural showcases, interactive games, and was capped off with an energetic DJ evening, bringing students of all years together in celebration.

- Opening Remarks and Dignitary Addresses The evening began with inspiring addresses by the Prof. Dr. T Koti Reddy (Vice Chancellor (In-Charge)) , Prof. (Dr.) S. Vijayalakshmi (Registrar, IFHE Hyderabad) , and Prof. Dr. CS Shylajan (Director, ICFAI School of Social Sciences). Each speaker highlighted the value of academic excellence and extracurricular engagement, urging students to embrace both rigor and creativity in their university journey.
- Cultural Performances Students from all years put forward a spectrum of lively dance performances, underscoring inter-batch unity and artistic flair. Additionally, first-year students showcased their musical talents through band performances, energizing the audience and setting a festive tone.
- Interactive Game: Guess the Movie An engaging “Guess the Movie” game was organized, where participants interpreted a set of emojis to deduce film titles. This fun segment fostered teamwork and lively competition, making for lighthearted entertainment.
- Fashion Rampwalk A highlight of the night was the fashion rampwalk, inviting students to display their style and poise. The rampwalk segment encouraged confidence and camaraderie, with enthusiastic participation from various batches.
- Photo Session A dedicated photo session allowed students and faculty to capture the memories of the day. The snapshots serve as vibrant reminders of the sense of community present at ISoSS.
- Lunch A hearty lunch was provided at Mess 2, where students and faculty mingled in a more informal setting, strengthening inter-year bonds and faculty-student relationships.
- DJ Evening The event concluded with a much-anticipated DJ evening, where students filled the dance floor to the beats of the latest tracks. The lively atmosphere, complete with lights and music, allowed everyone to unwind and celebrate together, reinforcing the joy and unity characteristic of ISoSS events.
- Conclusion Retro Rewind delivered a welcoming and electrifying experience for all ISoSS students, marking the academic year’s start on a jubilant note. The multiple facets of the event—from dignitary speeches to the DJ night—displayed the school’s dedication to holistic development and vibrant campus culture. Retro Rewind stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit and creativity that defines the ISoSS community.
The Anti-Ragging Day event was conducted by the ICFAI School of Social Sciences (ISOSS) on August 12, 2025 in the auditorium. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful consequences of ragging and to reinforce our institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.

- Student Speech: A student from Semester V delivered an insightful address on the emotional and psychological effects of ragging, emphasising collective responsibility in preventing such incidents.
- Short Documentary Screening: A visual narrative showcased the impact of ragging on victims and the legal consequences faced by perpetrators and passive bystanders, leaving a strong impression on attendees.
- Oath-Taking Ceremony: All participants pledged to neither engage in nor tolerate ragging, affirming their commitment to uphold respect and dignity on campus.
The event was well-received, and the message against ragging was conveyed effectively to all participants.
- The students of ICFAI School Of Social Sciences had planned a small event on Anti-Ragging Day on August 12, 2024 in BB-02.
- This initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about the serious implications of ragging and to foster a safe and respectful campus environment.

1. Speech by a Student: The event began with an informative speech by a student of SEM III who shared her views on the importance of eliminating ragging from the campus. The student spoke about the emotional and psychological impacts of ragging on individuals and emphasised the role of every student in preventing such incidents. The speech resonated with the audience, reminding them of their shared responsibility in creating a supportive and inclusive community.
2. Short Documentary on Anti-Ragging: Following the speech, screening of a short documentary that portrayed the story of senior students ragging freshmen. The documentary vividly depicted the ordeal faced by the victim and highlighted the severe consequences that followed for both the perpetrators and the bystanders who witnessed the ragging but chose not to intervene or report the incident. This visual narrative served as a stark reminder of the legal and moral repercussions of ragging, leaving a profound impact on the audience.
3. Oath-Taking Ceremony: The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony. All students present took a solemn pledge to neither participate in nor tolerate any form of ragging within the campus. The oath symbolized the collective commitment of the student body to uphold the values of respect, dignity, and kindness towards one another. The ceremony was a significant moment, marking the students' dedication to maintaining a ragging-free environment at the university

Addressing students from Economics and Psychology, the speaker stressed the transformative potential of both disciplines in a rapidly changing technological landscape. He encouraged embracing digital tools, data analysis, and information systems, illustrating their integration in economic modeling, behavioural interventions, public health, and policy. -
Student Engagement and Guidance for Future Pathways:
After the lecture, students interacted with Professor Mukhopadhaya regarding future prospects in economics and psychology, the influence of ongoing technological innovation, and the value of digital literacy and adaptive learning. He recommended that students nurture analytical and technological competencies aligned with global trends to enhance their professional and societal impact. -

Introduction:
The ICFAI School of Social Sciences hosted an Orientation Program in the Seminar Hall 22nd August 2025 to welcome first years and introduce them to the YES Club. The event aimed to familiarize the new batch with the club’s objectives and its core members, who will guide and support them.
Highlights included the formal introduction of the core team, fun arm-wrestling challenges, and a musical performance by 2 juniors and a senior. The session also featured an encouraging speech by Club Coordinator, Pooja Ma’am, outlining the club’s vision and the importance of active involvement. The program fostered a sense of unity and set a positive tone for the juniors’ campus experience.

The event commenced with an energetic musical performance by first-year students Vishnu Vardhan and Rahul Kumar, joined by second-year student Aryan. Their collaboration set a lively tone and fostered a sense of camaraderie among the attendees. -
Arm-Wrestling Session:
A special arm-wrestling session was organized to encourage participation and enjoyment. The activity brought together students from different years, promoting interaction and a spirit of friendly competition. -
Speech by Club Coordinator:
Dr. Pooja Choudhary, the Club Coordinator of YES club, delivered an informative speech introducing the team and briefing juniors about the roles, responsibilities, and support system provided by the club. Her address highlighted the importance of active participation and collaboration within the club structure. -
Introduction to the Club:
Following the performance, the club’s core objectives and activities were shared with the juniors. The President, Vice President, and Secretary, along with the heads and vice-heads of various teams within the YES Club, addressed the gathering to outline the opportunities available. At the end of the session, a Google Form was shared to invite applications from interested new members.
- The Youth Empowerment Society (Yes Club) aims to bring together students of economics and those interested in economics under one umbrella in the ICFAI School of Social Sciences.
- Activities undertaken by the society range from academic to leisurely competitive, including essay/article writing competitions, debates, group discussions, jovial quizzes & games, and artistically creative events, competitions and research activities.
- The society seeks economics students to network and form meaningful relationships with fellow students, professors and experts. It will also direct them to explore various nuances in the field and develop an eclectic skill set.
- Some of the events conducted by the Y.E.S. Club include Inflection, Meme-o-nomics, Yaadein, Despedida_2023, and Guess 20 to mark India’s G20 presidency, along with the various documentary days.
Introduction:
On 29th August 2025, the YES Club organized a comprehensive celebration for National Sports Day, held at the university’s 3rd Circle and cricket ground. The event was designed to foster physical fitness, teamwork, and interdepartmental engagement, and it witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing all schools within IFHE.
- Tug of War: Conducted at the 3rd Circle, this event challenged teams to combine strength, coordination, and collective strategy, resulting in spirited contests and enthusiastic support from spectators.
- Skipping: Both individual and team segments were organized, showcasing participants’ agility and endurance while promoting inclusivity and active involvement across the student body.
- Dodgeball: Mixed teams from various schools competed in fast-paced matches that required quick reflexes and teamwork, fostering lively interaction and camaraderie among participants.
- Kho-kho: Players from all schools demonstrated speed, tactical awareness, and cooperation in matches known for their intensity and competitive spirit, engaging both athletes and viewers alike.
- Cricket: Held on the university ground, cricket matches drew large, enthusiastic teams and crowds, highlighting skill in batting, bowling, and fielding, and strengthening the sense of unity and pride throughout the campus.

- National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, is celebrated in India on October 31st every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a crucial role in the unification of India.
- In this context, students of the Department of Economics celebrated National Unity Day.
- The event included singing, elocution, slogan writing and ended with the students taking the National Unity Day pledge.
- To welcome the first-year students of the Department of Economics, the students of BA Economics semesters V and III planned a fresher’s event.
- The event served as an opportunity for the students to interact with each other and introduce themselves to their classmates and faculty members.
- Amidst the vibrant energy and enthusiasm, this Fresher’s event named NARAARAMBH, unfolded as a dynamic celebration of new beginnings, forging connections, and creating unforgettable memories for our incoming students.
