Nrithyotsav 2026
Students from Sem 2 Bsc psychology, Anvitha Shivani and Naga Sahithi, participated in the dance battle competition “Nrithyotsav” organized by the Rock and Roll Club of BBA Department in the Solo Classical category. The participants had to compete against nine participants, and the two students gave outstanding performances and won the first and second places with a difference of just one point between the two participants, with Anvitha Shivani securing the first place and Naga Sahithi securing the second place. Anvitha gave an outstanding performance with her Kuchipudi dance that was elegant and refined, whereas Sahithi gave a dynamic fusion dance that was a true reflection of her versatility and expressions.

Illuminati 4.0
Students of B.Sc Psychology 1st Year - Yash Dev Chavan and M.A Economics 1st Year - Aditya, secured first place in the Table Tennis Doubles at Illuminati 4.0 (February 27, 2026). During the tournament, they played against several teams from different departments and managed to reach the finals with consistent performances in every round. Their coordination and teamwork in the doubles matches helped them secure first place. The finals match was played on February 27, where they won the doubles title and brought a proud moment for both the departments at Illuminati 4.0

Vertex Case Competition
Students of Sem 4 BA Economics : Rachana Reddy, Arjun Tatikonda, Aryan E, and Atturi Sai Nag Rohan, secured first place at the BBA Placement Cell’s Vertex Case Competition (March 12-13). In Round 1, they dissected Swiggy’s diversification across food delivery, quick commerce, and ventures like Pyng and Swiggy Sports, earning a top-4 spot with an 8-slide deck. Finals featured a growth strategy for Establish (Starbuzz.AI + Hey!Creators), powered by Porter’s Five Forces, network effects, unit economics, and a hybrid revenue model, delivered via presentation and judge Q&A.

Ms Aditi Thakur and Ms Dev Mohini Pyne from Semester 6, Class of 2026, BA Economics were invited to present their research paper titled "Return on Integrity (ROI) - A New Driver for Sustainable Growth" at the Third International Ethics Conference hosted by XLRI Jamshedpur from 9-11 January. The conference brought together senior academicians, researchers, and industry professionals and being part of such a platform was both inspiring and motivating. They were the only undergraduate participants presenting a paper, which made the experience especially meaningful. Their abstract was also published in the official Book of Abstracts for the conference. Additionally, they were on the panel during the question-and-answer session, where we responded to questions from experts, which helped build confidence and clarity in our research. The students are extremely grateful to XLRI Jamshedpur for giving them this opportunity.


- A Model G-20 initiative was introduced by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) under India’s Presidency of the G20 Summit. to engage the students from all 50K+ degree colleges/ universities/ technical institutions in a dialogue and hence, provide exposure and insights into the nuances of multilateral discourse on global challenges and pressing policy issues of the current times. Under this initiative, the young students were provided a unique opportunity to model the functioning and proceedings of G20 meetings.
- Model G20’s themes were the 7 objectives of the G20: Progress on Sustainable Development Goals; Climate Change and its Impact; Reforms for Multilateral Institutions, Circular Economy and Lifestyle for the Environment; Digitization of Agriculture/Trade/Skilling; Women at the Core of Development Agenda/Women-led Development; LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment. It was conducted in 3 stages.
- The second round was a Debate competition which was conducted in six zones in the respective IITs falling under that zone. The participant was allowed to debate over various perspectives of one of the 7 G20 themes. The best one from each theme was selected for the third round from each zone, which was an elocution round, and were awarded with a cash prize of ₹ 10,000/-.
- In the final round, participants were given a time limit of 5 minutes to voice out their ideas and provide policy recommendations and solutions to address the pertaining issues of their particular theme. One winner was picked from each theme out of these and the 7 winners were awarded with ₹ 50,000/-. Our students from Semester 5 of BA Economics (Class of 2024), Pavani Munnuri, who spoke on "Women at the Core of Development Agenda/Women-led Development," and Anaya Subodh Degloorkar, who spoke on "Reforms for Multilateral Institutions," made it to the final round of the Model G20 competition.
- Anaya Degloorkar was among the seven finalists selected to advocate her views for the theme "Reforms for Multilateral Institutions." The 7 winners of the competition, each for one theme, were allowed to contribute their ideas to the G20 Document.
- The award ceremony for Stages 2 & 3 was held at IIT Hyderabad on the 13th of October, 2023, and was presided over by the Chief Guest Mr. K. Sanjay Murthy, Secretary, Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education.
- The ceremony was virtually addressed by the G20 Sherpa, Mr. Amitabh Kant. Also present at the venue were esteemed guests of honor, including Dr. B. S. Murty (Director of IIT Hyderabad), Mr. Rajendra Singh Dhaka (Chair, INYAS), members of the INYAS, Professors from IITs and NITs among others.
